Back in the early 1970's the price of commodites was set to soar - why?
And why are we set to do the same again?

The US had just severed its ties to monetary gold & the world was revaluing the US Dollar.
The purchasing power of the US Dollar was falling giving the impression that all goods (as in the CRB) were rising. Like watching a loaf of bread rise from $2 to $3 what we are observing is not inflation in the price of the good but rather deflation in the purchasing power of the dollar.

One aspect often overlooked is that perceptions are gathered from looking back rather than forwards.
The purpose of these charts are so one can see how a major event unfolds under one's eyes.
The perception of what is occuring is only grasped after the changes have occured.

Here we stand poised to do the same all over again ! ! !
